Patradevi: After checking the fish which was imported from Patradevi and Pollem borders during entire night, a team of lady FDA officials is posted during the day.
The checking which was held last night fetched no objectionable fish being imported in the state, FDA minister Vishwajit Rane has said in a statement issued here.
“Imported fish samples testing started at Pollem and Patradevi border from 12 midnight. Through Pollem check post, 14 trucks carrying fish with Karnataka registration arrived till 7.30 a.m today,” Rane said.
“Last entry was around 3.40 a.m. All samples passed the tests. Different varieties of fish is imported through these trucks. Similarly checks started frommidnight at Patradevi. Three vehicles entered through this check post,” the minister said.
The day team comprising of lady officers has reached both the check posts.
