Mapusa: The Corporate Institute relationship cell (CIRC)of Agnel Institute of Technology & Design Assagao (AITD) conducted a unique industry-academia interaction “Decoding the IT industry in Goa- From Internships to Placements” for the pre-final year students of AITD.
The session was addressed by Mr.Mangirish Salelkar- Founder President of Goa Technology Association (GTA) and CEO & Co-Founder of Umang Group and Ms.Poonam Narvekar – Chief Technology Officer of Umang Software Goa.
During the session Mr. Salelkar addressed various topics related to student industry interaction including what the Goan IT industries expect from the students who will be undergoing a 2- month internship in various companies, as a part of the revised curriculum of Goa University . Mr. Mangirish & Ms. Poonam laid stress upon the need to acquire good work culture ethics & the right learning attitude while the students shape their careers. Mr. Mangirish also appreciated the consistent efforts put by AITD in exposing their students to the emerging technologies & imbibing the right skills & work ethics in their students needed by the industry today.
