Porvorim: Housing minister Jayesh Salgaoncar has said that the government will provide affordable housing to the needy people in the State.
“We have discontinued 20 point programme and now we are going to write to all the panchayats about the requirement of Housing so that we can give affordable dwellings to them,” Salgaoncar told the House today.
“Government is going to come up with the scheme for affordable housing and it would be better than 20 point programme. I will take each and every member into confidence,” he said.
“I will be writing to panchayats asking for the data. Housing board has land and we are proposing lot of Housing in Goa specially to cater to rural population,” he added.
