Siddesh Bhagat, National Vice President of the AAP Youth wing , appeals to the Goa government for help in granting some time off for weddings and other cultural and traditional events. According to him,couples spend thousands of rupees months in advance to reserve a venue, bands, and other wedding-related expenses.
They also remarked, “The government should just relax the wedding timing by one hour, from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The wedding itself begins at 8:00 p.m. and now ends at 10:00 p.m. Will the couples spend money for two hours then? In this way, all wedding-related businesses, such as wedding planners, caterers, bands, and others, will cease operations.
They stated that they are prepared to cooperate with the government while putting aside all disagreements when it comes to Goa and Goan interests. They advised that they should start working on this problem right now.
