Porvorim: A group of women from Ramnagar, Porvorim who had alleged that they were manhandled at police station has now withdrawn their complaint.
The women were complaining that their complaint against alleged prostitution in the area was not recorded by police. When they had arrived to file complaint at Porvorim police station on Friday, there was heated arguments between them and police. They had claimed that they were manhandled. A video showing the fight had also gone viral.
In a twist, a group of women later on Saturday withdrew their complaint against the lady whom they were alleged to have been involved in prostitution.
A senior police official confirmed that the women on their own withdrew the complaint claiming that they don’t want to pursue it further.
