Margao: Margao is my Birth place and I am committed for overall development of this Commercial Capital of Goa. I will not keep a single stone unturned for overall development of the City of Margao stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat after inaugurating the Culvert linking Margao City to Davorlim Village on Eastern Bypass intersection near Gujrati Samaj School for Special Children.
The Culvert constructed at a cost of almost Rs 40 Lakhs was inaugurated at the hands of local resident and Senior Citizen Sudha Prabhu in the presence of Councillors Deepa Shirodkar, Damodar Naik, Avinash Shirodkar, Former Councillor Damodar Shirodkar, Rumdamol ZP member Ullhas Tuenkar, Sarpanch Esha Naik, Ex- Sarpanch Sophia Shaikj and Avita Chodankar, Deputy Sarpanch, Madhukala Shirodkar, Ex- Sarpanch Samuilla Fanibanb, and Panch Member of Davorlim Paresh Naik were present for the function.
Margao will see overall development in the days ahead with the beautification of the road along Northern Side of Konkan Railway Station is currently in progress. The work of Railway Overbridge at Rawanfond will also commence shortly. We have completed illumination of maximum areas in the city with 4 & 6 arms poles stated Digambar Kamat.
Former Councillor Damodar Shirodkar welcomed the gathering. Eminent citizens Mukesh Saglani, Anil Jolapure, Prashant Nadkarni, Anil Pai, Shubhendra Kunde, Gurunath Kenkre, Chandu Acharya, Nitin Prabhu, Savio Mascarenhas and others were present for the inaugural ceremony.
PWD Engineer Prasad Palondikar, Chief Officer of Margao Municipaltiy Agnelo Fernandes, Municipal Engineer Diniz D’mello, Assistant Engineer Sakhardande and Pai, WRD A.E. Mario Rebello and others were also present for the function.
