Margao: South Goa-based citizen has complained to the Crime Branch that no action has been taken against the flouring matka gambling in the district. He has also said that despite submitting proper information to the police along with the documentary proof, no action has been taken.
The citizen has pointed out that Goa Bench of Bombay High Court has ordered that places where matka gambling is going on should be pointed out to the police for further action.
Social activist Kashinath Shetye had filed a case before the High Court.
The citizen has said that he tried ti send relevant information along with pictures straight to the official number 7875756009 but the officer has blocked him with ulterior motive.
He has demanded that the action should be taken against all the matka counters operating in South Goa, including Kharebandh which is very close to the office of the SP (South). He has also said that the activity is going on everywhere including Colva and Benaulim.
The citizen has also asked Crime Branch to make available contact number where the information about matka can be submitted.
