Panaji: Goa’s woman Congress leader Pratibha Borkar has suddenly hogged national limelight after her picture was being carried by some website claiming her to be sister-in-law of Hathras victim.
The picture taken from a press conference at Goa Congress office in which GPCC Chief Girish Chodankar is also seen went viral after one the website ‘Squint’ carried it as “Hathras Nakli Congress Bhaujayi.” She was mistaken to Dr Rajkumari Bansal.
While there was no clarification issued by Congress’ local unit, even a day after the picture went viral, website www.thequint.com in its Webquoof series pointed out the series lapse on the part of those who were criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Hathras.
The Quint pointed out that Several social media users have shared the image on Facebook and Twitter with the claim that she is the same ‘naxal bhabhi’ and can be seen with Congress leaders.
Borkar is a well known Congress leader from Goa who has been associated with the party for last several years. She has not travelled to Hathras nor associated with the episode in any way.
