Panaji: Tourist taxi operators on Monday met Panaji MLA Atanasio Monserratte claiming that they are ready to install digital meter for their vehicles, provided app-based Goa Miles is scrapped from Goa.
They also demanded that the digital meter fares should be as per the government gazette which is notified in the past.
After meeting the taxi operators, Monserratte said that his stand is not different from that of Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo who has been supporting the taxi operators.
“Lobo has been spearheading taxi operators’ movement. My stand will not be different from Lobo,” he said advising all the taxi operators to speak in one word.
Monserratte said that he will form the strategy after meeting Lobo.
