Panaji:The Centre for Political Leadership of V. M. Salgaocar College of Law has organised ‘Kaun Banega Political Analyst’ competition in an effort to encourage public participation in the electoral process and also create general awareness about the political situation.
The participants will have to predict winners of all Assembly constituencies in Goa. The person with the highest right predictions will be declared the winner and will be awarded a cash prize worth ₹5,000. The Centre will also award the title of ‘Political Analyst Of The Year’ to the winner.
The competition is open for all the age groups and has no registration fees. To participate, the public is urged to visit the website of the college or click on this link- www.bit.ly/22kbpa. The entries for the competition will be accepted till 11:59 pm on February 13, 2022.
The competition was officially announced in the presence of Principal Dr. G. Shabir Ali, Vice chaiman of managing committee Bhaskar Nayak, Dnyaneshwar Pednekar, Dr. M.R.K. Prasad, Dr. Kotagiri Srinivasa Rao, Dr. Kim Couto, Mr. Milind, Pricilla Fernandes, Siddesh Tari and Ramrai Naik.
The competition is not meant to gauge voting preferences of the participants. The data generated from the competition will not be used for opinion and exit polls.
Some of the factors the participants can use in their analysis are mood of the people, anti-incumbency, past performance, chances of winning and past voting patterns.
