Panaji: Minutes after being declared as next chief minister of the State, BJP leader Dr Pramod Sawant said that the his government will take up the mission of Swayampoorna Goa 2.0, which is extension of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Talking to reporters, Sawant said that his government had successfully implemented Swayampoorna Goa 1.0 during the first tenure, which would be completed in upcoming tenure in the form of Swayampoorna Goa 2.0.
“Swayampoorna Goa is an extension of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat scheme which will be implemented across the state with the thrust on self-sufficiency,” he said.
BJP legislature party, which met on Monday in Panaji, had declared Sawant as their leader before staking claim to form the next government in the state.
The chief minister said that creation of infrastructure and human development would be focus of the state government in next five years.
“We will work with full transparency taking into confidence the parties which has extended their support to the government. We all will work together,” he said.
Sawant said that the government will work with “full transparency.”
He said that the BJP will continue giving good governance in the state.
