Vagatore: Two Andhra Pradesh origin tourists who had arrived in Goa to participate in ongoing Sunburn EDM festival in North Goa died after they collapsed near the venue at Vagatore beach village in North Goa.

A senior police official said that both the tourists Sai Prasad and Venkat (full name not known) hailing from Andhra Pradesh passed away when they were admitted to District hospital in Mapusa town, nine kilometers away from here.

Both the tourists fell uneasy when they were standing outside the Sunburn venue before the gates for the event opened this afternoon, police said.

They were immediately shifted to Azilo Hospital in Mapusa town, a state run district hospital, where they were declared dead.

Police are waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain exact cause of death.

Senior police officials while maintaining silence over the possible drug overdose said that “nothing can be ruled out.” “It can be heart attack or drug overdose or anything. We can’t say anything till we have postmortem report in front of us,” the official said.

Sunburn is held at Vagatore in North Goa from Friday till Sunday.
