Panaji: Reacting to the developments, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude said that the financial assistance is related to the groups, only after fulfilling all the formalities.
He said that if any organisation fails to utilise the money within that financial year, then they are recovered from them with interest.
He said that due process is followed while disbursing the money.
Gaude stated that the financial assistance is provided to the groups, irrespective of their political affiliations. “We don’t look at which MLA the group is supporting. We are releasing the amount to encourage the local talent and artists,” he said.
The minister said that women are taking advantage of this financial scheme in a big way to conduct programmes especially in rural Goa.
