The work of installing the new pipeline at Paikul village begins Devendra Gaonkar

Valpoi: The Paikul village bridge, which was washed away due to the recent floods, and the pipeline was severely affected, resulting in loss of water supply in Paikul, Shel, Melauli, and Maigine village. But, as per the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s order the officials from Water Supply Department, Valpoi has conducted a high-level meeting for moving the pipeline underground which was earlier over the bridge and commenced the work.

As committed to the people, we The Water Supply Department officials have started work on the same on top priority level and the work of the new pipeline will be completed before the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival.

The pipeline will be connected to the water treatment plant to ensure uninterrupted water supply for the people of Shel-Melauli, Maigine, Murmune and other neighbouring areas.

The 24/7 water supply in different parts of rural Sattari is a prime demand of the people there and we shall strive towards achieving this dream, say Melauli villagers.

The Melauli villagers also said that they would like to thank the Chief Minister for taking the immediate action on their problems and villagers also demand to withdraw the cases which were put on village youth during the IIT agitation.
