Margao: Goa News Hub on Saturday morning released a #viralvideo which showed a group singing loudly behind the doors in one of the empty cabins of South Goa District Hospital in Margao, on the fourth floor.

The viral video was being circulated on WhatsApp groups, so GNH tried to find out the reality behind the video.

GNH spoke to Dr Rajendra Borkar, Administrator of the SGDH, with whom we had shared the video. Dr Borkar said that the fourth floor of the hospital is being used as a hostel to accommodate the young doctors from outside the state, who are serving in the District Hospital as a part of the National Medical Council guidelines.

These doctors are in the SGDH as a part of the District Residency Program (DRP) of the NMC.

After the video went viral, the administration of SGDH sought clarification from these doctors, who stated that they were “singing old songs” as they were watching old movies on a screen inside their room.

The Administration has informed them that they “should not be singing such aloud” on the hospital campus, as it may cause inconvenience to others.
