Panaji: BJP’s Central Observers including B L Santhosh and Ram Lal would be arriving in the State this afternoon to initiate discussion with party leaders and alliance partners.

“The meetings will be held in a starred hotel here in Panaji city. The leaders will meet BJP legislators and office bearers collectively followed by meeting with Goa Forward Party, MGP and Independents,” a senior BJP leader said.

The emissaries will be returning back to Delhi on Monday after holding extensive meetings  in Goa.

“The main aim of these meetings will be to find out successor for Parrikar owing to his deteriorating health condition,” he said.

While some names within BJP camp are being discussed, the party is also contemplating the possibility of looking at GFP President and State Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai and MGP leader and State Transport Minister Sudin Dhavalikar as possible CM faces.
