Panaji: Stating that the villagers are adversely affected by the unrepaired road, the only road that connects St Cruz to Taleigao village, villagers of St Cruz on Monday submitted a memorandum of ultimatum of 21 days to the executive engineer for repair of road work.
The villagers, who held a peaceful protest before the office of the Executive Engineer-Panaji today said stated that they did not get any ‘concrete assurance from concerned authorities’.
“This is our humble request to start repair of the said road starting from Bricks Icon Building till Hassan Garage, within 21 days. If failed to commence the repair of the said road, we will be forced to sit on hunger strike,” the memorandum stated.
