Panaji: St Cruz MLA Antonio alias Tony Fernandes and Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte have tested positive for COVID-19 infection on Sunday, a senior health department official said.
While Fernandes is admitted in a private hospital on Sunday afternoon, Sopte has preferred Home Isolation after being detected mild positive, he said.
“Fernandes was admitted in a private hospital on Sunday as he was symptomatic,” the official said.
Earlier during last two months, the MLAs who were tested positive includes
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias, Madkai MLA Sudin Dhavalikar, Benaulim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar, Thivim MLA Nilkant Halarnkar and Ponda MLA Ravi Naik.
