Valpoi: Phoenix Socio Cultural Associations’-‘Phoenix Students’ Wing’ Valpoi felicitated meritorious students of SSC and HSSC and plasma donors in a function held at Valpoi.
Speaking at the function, chief guest, SPS president, Uday Sawant said, “Every student should set up a mission and achieve the same keeping intact to its own culture and customs.”
He also said that behind every successful student there are five pillars -mother, father, teacher, society and an organization like Phoenix plays a very crucial role for them. Further, Sawant lauded the efforts of PSCA and said that it is the only organization which works and recognizes the excellence of people in various fields working for the last one decade.
Earlier, Uday felicitated meritorious students of SSC and HSSC. SSC toppers felicitated were Sujami Pokle from Our Lady of Lourdes Higher Secondary, Parvez Sayed from Unity Higher Secondary, Samreen Sayyed from National Higher Secondary, Narayan Parsekar from Shree Ram Higher Secondary, Akshay Gaonkar from GHS-Valpoi, Vishaka Bottarkar Hanuman Vidyalaya Higher Secondary, while HSSC students felicitated Tanaya Zarekar, Nisha Gaonkar, Akash Sawant, Arjun Kotodkar, Amisha Chari, Shejal Pirankar and Nitin Gaonkar.
PSCA also took cognizance of organizations which worked during a pandemic period and helped people who were in need. Khidmat-e-Khalq members were honoured for their commendable work during the lockdown. PSCA President Abdulla Khan thanked all the parents, students and plasma donors who accepted the invitation and urged students to dream big, chase and achieve the goal. Phoenix Womens’ Wing SHG, Suneza Khan and councilor Sayyad Sarfaraz were also present at the function.
