Colva: Two police constables, who were on election related patrolling duty, were killed on the spot during mid night of Saturday when a speeding car crushed them at Seraulim village in South Goa.
A senior police official said that the incident happened at 12.15 midnight when both the constables with another Home Guard were on nakabandi duty at Seraulim village in Colva police station jurisdiction.
Constables Shailesh Gaonkar (Goa Police) and Vishwas Deykar (India Reserve Batallion) died in the mishap, police said adding that Deykar died while being shifted to the hospital.
Another Home Guard who was at the duty had miraculous escape, police said.
