Panaji: The Commissioner of NRI Affairs today announced that its flagship pension scheme to retired seafarers will now be implemented by department of social welfare.
Director of NRI Affairs Anthony D’Souza said that the Commissioner has decided to integrate the scheme with social welfare department’s DSSS, for better implementation.
He said that under the scheme Rs 2500 are provided as monthly financial benefit to retied seafarers.
