Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar has said that chief minister Pramod Sawant’s action of keeping on hold the posts for PWD do not culminate the issue of job recruitment scam we had exposed, has a deeper roots.
Chodankar said that the Congress had placed three demands including inquiry by Vigilance Department, scrapping of all the posts and also holding the recruitments through Staff Selection Commission under supervision of High Court.
He said that Congress has been constantly keeping pressure on the government at the behest of thousands of youth, due to which the chief minister had to resort to the action of keeping on hold the posts for PWD.
Chodankar said that the River Navigation department had also tried to play dirty by trying to by-pass mandatory rules for the post of sailors. The process was kept on hold after Congress threatened to expose them.
“We are now demanding that government should scrap posts from all the departments including Police, Health, FDA while initiating High Court monitored inquiry into all the recruitments,” he said.
Chodankar demanded that, if found guilty, the concerned ministers & officials should be arrested for committing fraud.
