St Cruz: Santa Cruz panchayat member Inacio Domnic Pereira has petitioned the Sports Authority of Goa, stating that Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium and the Athletic Stadium fall under the jurisdiction of the Santa Cruz Panchayat and should therefore be referred to accordingly.
Pereira said that both stadiums fall under the jurisdiction of Santa Cruz constituency and Village Panchayat Santa Cruz, not Taleigao and Bambolim, respectively.
“The Executive Director of the Sports Authority of Goa has written to the Mamlatdar (Panjim) to verify and submit a report on whether both stadiums fall under Santa Cruz jurisdiction and constituency, as claimed by the Village Panchayat member of Santa Cruz,” he added.
