Margao: Goa Youth Forward President Raj Malik has appointed youth activist and social worker Sameer Shaikh as the Block President of the GYF for Fatorda.
Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai approved the appointment of Shaikh to the post.
Malik issued appointment letter to Shaikh today, expanding the activities of Goa Youth Forward in South Goa.
Shaikh is also President of Phoenix Sports Club at Chandrawado in Fatorda.
“I have been witnessing the pace of development implemented by our MLA and party President Vijai Sardesai in Fatorda constituency,” he said reacting to the appointment.
“We had given him a target to clear the dust bin from our Chandrawado area, which he did immediately, following by a construction of a garden,” he said.
“After garden, he got us Gym and then a Hall. The entire environment of the area changed within no time,” Shaikh said.
The youth leader said that Sardesai has been an inspiration to many in the constituency to join politics. “We have got a forward looking leader who works for cross section of people,” he said.
Shaikh said that he wants to compliment the works undertaken by Sardesai in Fatorda constituency through Goa Youth Forward.
“The GFP is the future of Goa and I am lucky that I am able to work under the direct guidance of Sardesai, our President Raj Malik and other senior leaders from the party,” he said.
