Dona Paula: Rotary Club of Dona Paula along with Manipal Hospitals Goa organized a “Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar ” on the occasion of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
The traditional lamp was lit by the Cancer Survivor in the presence of the Oncology Team who also felicitated the Cancer Survivor.
Dr Sredharan M Consultant Surgical Oncologist gave a talk to Breast Cancer Survivors and young women about ways of Early detection and Prevention of Breast Cancer.
The Oncology team at Manipal Hospitals Goa namely Dr. Shekhar Salkar Senior Surgical Oncology Consultant & Chief of Oncology Dpt, Dr Sredharan M Consultant Surgical Oncologist, Dr Jacob George Consultant Consultant Medical Oncologist, Dr Gunjan Baijal Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Dr Mahadeva Swamy Consultant Hemato Oncologist, Dr Elaine Rodrigues Consultant Anaesthesist and Head of ICU, were felicitated by Rotary Club Of Dona Paula represented by President of Rotary Club of Dona Paula C.A. Rtn Gaurav Kenkre and Rtn Dr Elaine Rodrigues Director of Rotary Club Service .
Dr salkar in his address stressed “ Early diagnosis saves lives “ . He also said early diagnosis not only saves life but saves breast, saves money and give a very good quality of life.
Rtn ca Gaurav kenkre lauded the Oncology team of Manipal led by Dr Salkar for their work not only in treatment but also in causing awareness of the “Big C”.
Dr Elaine gave the vote of thanks.
