Panaji: With an aim to reduce waiting period for kidney failure patients availing dialysis treatment, Rotary Club of Mapusa and Manipal Hospitals, Goa today inaugurated a dialysis centre at the hospital premises here. The dialysis centre has four advanced dialysis machines that will provide medical treatment to patients free of cost under the DDSY scheme.
Rotarian Mr Suraj Mantravadi, Project Chairman and Rotarian Mr Amol Barve than president of Rotary Club of Mapusa have conceptualised, implemented and took the project to its logical end. The Rotary Foundation of the Rotary International has implemented Global Grant Project amounting over Rs 30 lakhs with which Rotary-Manipal Dialysis Center has been setup at Manipal Hospital, Donapaula.
This project, Rotary – Manipal Dialysis centre, is promoted by Rotary Club of Mapuca of Rotary District 3170 in association with Rotary Club of Mahadouddha of Rotary District 3292 of Nepal during Rotary year 2019-2
The Project was inaugurated today by the Immediate Past District Governor of RID 3170 Rtn. Dr. Girish Masurkar in distinguished presence of Unit Head of Manipal Hospital Mr. Manish Trivedi, renowned oncologist Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Nephrologist Dr. Amol Mhaldar, Project Chairman Rtn. Suraj Mantravadi, President of Rotary Club of Mapuca Rtn. Abhijit Walke and Immediate Past President of Rotary Club of Mapuca Rtn. Amol Barve and Rotarians for Goa Clubs.
