PROMOTE HISTORICAL FIELDS IN STATE: GOVERNOR

The Governor, P.S. Sreedharan Pillai laid the wreath and paid tributes at the samadhi of 2nd Lt. Governor of UT, the late Mulk Raj Sachdev on his 60th Death Anniversary behind Miramar Residency at Miramar, Panaji today.

Present on this momentous occasion were Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, Secretary to Governor M. R. M. Rao, IAS, Sanjeev V. Sardesai, noted historian, Mihir Vardhan and others.

In the formal eulogy address the Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, appealing to promote historical fields in Goa, reiterated the work of Ram Manohar Lohia and said he did everything for the liberation of Goa.

Governor said students need to study the history and bring the truth before the public. He said, history is like a flowing water.

After laying the wreath, Sanjeev V. Sardesai highlighted the life and work of Late Mulk Raj Sachdev and said that the Lt. Governor of Goa, Daman & Diu, was the only First Citizen of State, who died in office on 8th Dec 1964.
