Ponda Sub District hospital to be converted into second full fledged COVID facility

Panaji: Goa government on Sunday announced the decision to have second full fledged COVID hospital in the state.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tweeted that the sub district hospital located Ponda in North Goa will be converted into full fledged covid hospital.

State currently has 200-bedded ESI hospital in Margao, which is converted into covid facility, where positive patients are treated.

Sawant on Sunday tweeted “To ensure that best of healthcare facilities are made available for the people in the state and to further strengthen our fight against coronavirus pandemic, the Sub District Hospital at Ponda is being converted into a full fledged #COVID19 Hospital.”

“This would be the second dedicated COVID 19 Hospital in Goa, in addition to ESI hospital Margao,” he said in yet another tweet.
