Panaji: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called on Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to enquire about the impact of Cyclone Tauktae on the coastal state.
The state was hit by cyclonic winds on weekend following which around 100 houses had collapsed.
Sawant tweeted “Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi ji personally called to enquire about the impact of cyclone Tauktae on the state of Goa. He has assured all possible assistance from the Central Government.”
Earlier during the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called the Chief Minister assuring “full cooperation” in restoring normalcy in the state.
