Pernem Police Station: During detailed investigation of Crime of a Hit and Run case wherein one Mr. Devidas S/o Chandrakant Konadkar, age 55yrs was found dead at place Dadachiwadi, Dhargal Pernem Goa have concluded that deceased was indeed murdered by the accused persons.
As per SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi initially Pernem Police could track the goods carrier vehicle Registration No. GA 03 N 3662 with assistant of local public and further suspected persons were rounded up.
On further investigation and interrogation it was revealed that on 12.05.2024 at about 21.00 hrs the accused person parked their rickshaw in a dangerous position on the curve road and thereby hampering the smooth flow of traffic. Deceased was present there and he questioned the goods carrier rickshaw driver and the occupant to which the accused became arrogant and ran after the deceased namely Mr. Devidas S/o Chandrakant Konadkar who left the spot on his Yamaha Fascino Scooter bearing No. GA 11 F 3368.
Further investigation revealed that accused followed deceased scooter and on said good carrier rickshaw and on reaching at Dadachiwadi Dhargal Pernem intentionally hit the goods carrier rickshaw on his scooter with intention to kill the deceased and dragged him to some distance and ran away.
Pernem Police arrested the driver of the said goods carrier rickshaw by name Mohit Kumar S/o Prempal Singh, age 19 yrs R/o Vill-Badshapur Pachgai, Tehsil-Khurja, Dist-Buland Shehar, Uttar Pradesh
and co-occupant namely Abhishek Kumar S/o Rajkumar Singh, age-20 yrs R/o Vill-Badshapur Pachgai, Tehsil-Khurja, Dist-Buland Shehar, Uttar Pradesh and accused persons have confessed their involvement.
Post Mortem examination was held on the deceased and body was handed over to relatives.
Teams under supervision of SDPO Pernem were led by Pi Mopa Narayan Chimulkar , Pi Sachin Lokre and Psi’s Navneet Goltekar, Ashish Porob , Pravin Shimepuruskar who collected vital Clues on CCtv also did combing operation in near by forest with locals and nab the accused.
Further investigation is in progress with PI Pernem Sachin Lokre under the supervision of SP North Akshat Kaushal IPS and SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi.
