Panaji: P S Sreedharan Pillai on Thursday took over as the New Governor of Goa, replacing B S Koshyari, who was holding additional charge of the coastal state along with Maharashtra.
Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Dipankar Datta administered the oath to the newly designated Governor at Raj Bhavan on Thursday morning in presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
B S Koshyari has been holding additional charge of Goa since August 2020 after the transfer of Satya Pal Malik from the post.
Talking to reporters after the swearing in ceremony, the chief minister welcomed the new Governor and said that his guidance would be sought on different issues related to the state.
