Opportunities for Farmers to Visit Various ICAR Institutes

Panaji: The Directorate of Fisheries, Panaji, is conducting batches of exposure visits for fish farmers, fishers, fish workers, and fish vendors for five days in different ICAR institutes during the Financial Year 2025-26.

The proposed ICAR institutes include ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar; ICAR-CIBA, Chennai; ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai; ICAR-CIFT, Kochi; and ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi.

The topics of the exposure visits will cover:

  • Disease and Health Management in Carp Culture

  • Fish Nutrition and Feed Management

  • Brackish Water Aquaculture (Shrimp and Finfish) for the West Coast of India

  • Brackish Water Finfish Farming Technology and Better Management Practices

  • Integrated Aquaculture and Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture

  • Fish Processing and Value Addition

  • Waste and By-products Utilization

  • Hands-on Training Programme on Sea Cage Culture and Mariculture Technologies

Interested fish farmers, fishers, fish workers, and fish vendors may visit the Head Office, Directorate of Fisheries, Panaji, or the nearest Zone Offices or Fisheries Training Centre, Old Goa, for inquiries and to submit their duly filled application forms through the respective offices.
