One more test positive for COVID-19 infection, total cases to up to six

Panaji: One more patient has tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Goa, rising the total number to six.

State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the a person from Mandrem in North Goa who had a travel history of visiting Mozambique has tested positive for COVID-19 infection.

The person had arrived back in Goa on March 19 and had contacted Goa Medical College and Hospital subsequently after he developed symptoms of COVID-19, he said.

Rane said that the patient has been shifted to COVID hospital and as per the protocol, all the people who had come in contact with him are quarantined and they would be tested for the infection.

Goa had reported five positive cases in the past. With the latest one, the total number of Coronavirus patients in the state has gone up to six.
