Old Goa: Old Goa police have successfully arrested a Mizoram native for committing theft of a bike from St. Cruz, Old Goa.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was received from Mrs. Trupti Kamat, R/o St. Cruz, Old Goa informing that her Activa scooter bearing no :GA 05 A 0320 which was parked in her compound was missing.
Accordingly police registered a FIR and collected intelligence and started extensive patrolling. Further in the afternoon today police intercepted the activa bike at Old Goa and arrested the accused person.
The accused has been identified as Mr. Zohmingliana Lalropola, age 34 yrs, N/o Mizoram. He was staying for rent at the complainants house and during the absence of the complainant committed theft of the bike.
Accused has been arrested under section 379 of IPC.m and is lodged in judicial custody.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Edwin Dias under the supervision of pi Jivba Dalvi.
