Old Goa police have arrested one person for kidnapping a minor girl aged 15 years.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged yesterday by the mother of a minor girl R/o Dhulapi Corlim staying that her minor girl aged 15 yrs was missing from morning 4/819 when went to attend tuition class .
Police immediately swung into action and carried out thorough investigation in which it was revealed that the girl was in contact over a person on the phone and as per the call details and the intelligence it was revealed that the accused was proceeding to Margao along with the minor girl.
Accordingly a team was directed to Margao railway station in the midnight and subsequently at 01:00 am today early morning the girl was rescued and accused was nabbed while they were ready to proceed to Bihar.
The accused Mr. Arvind S/o Munar Khuswah, age 20 yrs, R/o PDA Colony, Corlim N/o Bihar has been placed under arrest under sections 363 IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and has been remanded to 02 days police custody.
PI Dalvi informed that slight delay in action would have helped the accused fleeing to Bihar which would make it very difficult to trace them later.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Edwin Dias under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
