Panaji: Goa government will hold special meeting of health and administration officials on Tuesday in view of Omicron, a new variant of COVID-19 that has surfaced globally.
State chief minister Pramod Sawant told reporters on Monday that the state is adhering to the central guidelines over COVID-19 and all the precautions are taken.
He said that the meeting with officials from health and State administration has been called on Tuesday to discuss the issue.
Sawant said that Airport and Railway stations have been alerted, who have been asked to take precautions in the wake of new virus.
The chief minister appealed people to take measures and also keep distance from the people who have arrived from other states.
