Panaji: The Election Commission of India (ECI) today issued notification for Panaji by-elections, which are scheduled on May 19.
With the notification, the nomination process has begun. The last date for filing nominations is April 29. The scrutiny of application will take place on April 30 and the last date for withdrawal is May 2. Counting will take place on May 23.
The by-elections were necessitated following death of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on March 17.
