Panaji: Hours after Union minister Pralhad Joshi suggested a negotiable settlement between Karnataka and Goa over Mahadayi River water dispute, former Chief Minister and Congress’ Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has said that “there is no scope for negotiations.”
Responding to a question on Joshi’s suggestion about negotiations between Chief ministers of Goa and Karnataka, Kamat told a press conference that Inter State Water tribunal has already given its award on the issue of Mahadayi river diversion.
“The tribubal has already passed the award. Once the award is passed, I don’t think there is any scope for negotiations,” said the former chief minister.
