Sankhalim: The new inductions in Congress in Sankhalim Constituency seem to have created an uneasy situation for some leaders.
Congress had recently inducted Journalist Mahadev Khandekar in its fold. The latest addition to the party, seems to have created ruffles amongst the local leaders.
Former MLA Pratap Gawas, in his reaction to a local channel, said that the party should give ticket to someone who has connect with every household in the constituency.
“Getting a party ticket is not a joke. You should be connected to the people. There can be many aspirants but the one who has worked at ground level should get the ticket,” Gawas said.
“The one who is not even a Panch or Sarpanch, should not aspire for the ticket,” he taunted, without naming anyone.
“At least he should know how many booths are there in the constituency,” Gawas said.
The Congress leader said that if all Congressmen come together and fight against CM Pramod Sawant, the party will definitely win in Sankhalim constituency. “
But if we are divided than we cannot think of a victory,” he added.
