Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Union Minister for MOEF&CC Prakash Javdekar has assured a written communication on the Mhadei matter within ten days.
Sawant today led all-party delegation to Javdekar seeking immediate withdrawal of the consent granted to Karnataka’s Kalasa-Banduri project for diversion of water from River Mhadei.
In a series of tweets, Sawant said that the delegation submitted representation and highlighted the wrongful manner in which a letter was issued by MOEF&CC Ministry to Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd regarding Kalasa-Banduri project.
“The Minister was kind enough to assure a written communication on the same within ten days,” Sawant tweeted.
“Every member expressed his views. After listening to everyone Javdekarji assured his support to protect the interest of the State and people of Goa,” he tweeted further.
