Panaji: Stating that Congress at Centre is ‘non-committal in Goa’ favour on the Mhadei issue, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Monday said Goa Congress must make their stand clear over the controversial Mhadei issue.
Khaunte’s statement comes days after AICC secretary in-charge of Goa Dinesh Gundu Rao visited the state and said that the final arbiter is the Supreme Court where the appeals of the three states of -Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra – is pending with the Mhadei Tribunal award is pending.
Khaunte critisised Rao and said that the Congress leader is just like BJP’s Prakash Jawadekar, who is avoiding to commit that his party is with Goa in Mhadei issue. He also demanded that Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar and Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat must make their stand clear on this issue.
“Congress In-Charge @DineshRao avoiding to commit that his party is with #Goa on #Mhadei issue. Just like BJPs Javadekar, the Rao @Congress is also non-committal in Goa’s favour. @Girishgoa @DigambarKamat
should make their stand clear now,” Khaunte tweeted.
SHAME on Regional Parties & Independents who Criticize Congress & BJP before election and after election they join these same parties. Today’s & Yesteryears Government includes these Regional Parties & Independents who Criticized Congress & BJP before election. Trusting Regional Parties and Independents is like voting for either Congress & BJP, because after election they are going to join either Congress or BJP.
