Margao: Goa Forward Party on Sunday filed complaint of violation of model code of conduct against Margao Carnival Committee.
GFP Vice President Durgadas Kamat in the complaint filed against the committee has said the Margao Carnival Committee has violated model code of conduct as “they have released advertisements regarding flagging off of Float Parade at the hands of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister & Cabinet Ministers.”
Complaint filed by Kamat with South Goa Collector. Earlier State Election Commission had issued letter to Director ,Tourism asking that no political functionary should inaugurate or deliver speech at Official Carnival Float Parades in the state of Goa.
When contacted District Collector Ajit Roy said that he has received the complaint and he is looking into the matter.
