Mapusa: The Inter-State buses at Mapusa will now be stationed near Bondgini, a spot next to Bodgeshwar Temple.
Mapusa Municipal Council today held an important meeting to decide on city’s preparedness to handle the crowd, which will come to the market in the wake of upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
MMC Chairperson Ryan Braganza said that the attempts are being made to ensure that those who are coming for the marketing do not face problems to get the parking.
He said that the place near bus stand is being tarred to make way for the vehicles besides various spots are identified for the purpose.
Braganza also said that the municipality along with Traffic department officials will inspect the place at Bondgini for inter-state buses to park.
The municipality has also resolved to have pay parking behind Deputy collector’s office in the city for which the file for required permissions would be moved.
