Mapusa: The BJP workers from Mapusa Assembly Constituency voiced their dissent over North Goa MP Shripad Naik and even threatened to lobby to change the candidate for upcoming Parliamentary poll.
The sources who were present for the meeting said that the senior workers were upset as Naik has not been connecting with the BJP workers from Mapusa constituency.
They also said that Naik was insensitive towards the demands of Mapusa constituency.
The meeting which was attended by senior leaders including Govind Parvatkar turned fiery against Naik.
The workers demanded that BJP should not re-field Naik from North Goa Parliamentary seat and instead should see for a new face.
Eye witnesses said that around 2,000 workers were present for the meeting.
