Man Booked For Entering Goa International Airport With Forged Tickets

Vasco: Goa Police have booked a 29-year-old local man for entering the International Airport at Dabolim in South Goa by producing forged tickets.

The Dabolim Airport Police on Tuesday booked Manuel Kavin D’Souza from Sancoale village in South Goa for entering the airport premises by producing fake tickets of Air India and Qatar Airways flights.

A senior police officer said that the incident occurred between 2:15 pm and 3:00 pm on Tuesday when the accused entered the airport premises by producing fake tickets before the personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force, which mans the security of the airport.

The tickets were identified as fake when they were produced at the airline counter inside the airport.

The accused was in possession of a Goa-Mumbai ticket of Air India, a Mumbai-Doha ticket of Qatar Airways, and a Doha-Barcelona ticket of the same airline (Qatar Airways).
Police said that the accused has been booked under various sections of the BNS for cheating and forgery.


A senior police officer said that the accused told the investigating officer that he was provided fake tickets by the agency.
