Major reshuffle; both district collectors transferred with immediate effect

Panaji: State government today transferred both the District Collectors, to take up work in the State administration with immediate effect.

North Goa Collector IAS Nila Mohanan is transferred as secretary Education, Power, Revenue, Labour and Employment and Non Conventional Energy.

IAS Anjali Sehrawat, appointed as South Goa Collector in 2017, is now the Special Secretary Home.

The order in this regard was issued by Under Secretary (Personnel II) Shashank Thakur.

While Mohanan will continue to hold charge as Collector till a new officer is posted, Sehrawat is been replaced by newly posted IAS officer Dr Tariq Thomas.

Further, Finance Secretary IAS Daulat Hawaldar is given additional charge as Secretary Town and Country Planning and Agriculture. He currently holds departments like Mines, Fisheries, Art and Culture. He is however, relieved as Secretary Environment, Education and Science and Technology.

The newly posted IAS Sanjay Gihar is appointed as the Secretary for Environment, Panchayat, Housing, Rural Development Agency, Animal Husbandry, Science and Technology.

 He will also hold charge of Water Resources department with effect from July 9, after Secretary IAS PS Reddy is relieved from the service. Reddy is already been transferred and will be relieved on July 9.

The other secretaries including Chief Secretary have maintained their departments.
