Majik wada villagers demand 24 hours power supply, threaten to demonstrate against govt by Devendra Gaonkar

Valpoi: Demanding uninterrupted power supply in their village, Majik wada villagers from Budruk Karmali village demonstrated outside the office of Valpoi Electricity Department, Assitant Engineer on Friday.
Informing that for the last 35 years there has been no proper power supply in their village, the villagers lamented that they are in grave distress. They also said that their children have to face difficulties as they are unable to study at night time. They also brought the issue of street lights which have been non-functional. The Electricity Department have installed the street poles in village but have not put LED lights on street poles, the villagers alleged.
Placing forth their grievances, the villagers have demanded 24 hours power supply in their village, otherwise the villagers will come on the road against the BJP Government.
“In our village there is no proper power supply since past many decades due to which we are facing the many problems. Our children cannot do their studies at night time. The most of time at night hours their is no power supply in our village. Also there is no street lights,” said a villager.
“If the BJP Government failed to provide the 24 hours, Power supply in our village then we will teach them a lesson in Zila Panchayat election,” said a village woman.
Meanwhile, the Assitant Engineer said that he will look into the matter and will soon solve the power supply problem of Majik wada villagers.
