Old Goa: Serial killer Mahanand Naik who is currently out on a furlough appeared before Old Goa police station.
He has completed 14 years in the jail during which he has completed the course of Electrician and Plumbing in the Jail, as per the police records.
Mahanand appeared before Old Goa police on Wednesday as a part of the conditions which are imposed on him while granting him the furlough.
The convict was released on furlough on June 15 upon the local surety of Fr Maverick Fernandes, St Xavier Academy for the Handicapped, Old Goa . Mahanand is currently staying in the institution at Old Goa.
He visits Old Goa police station every alternate day as directed by the Superintendent of Central Jail, Colvale, Goa.
