Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said that the rate cut announced by PM Narendra Modi for LPG consumers is a ‘rakshabandhan’ gift.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a gift on the occasion of Rakshabandhan to women of the country by reducing the prices of LPG cylinders,” Sawant said on Wednesday.
He said that the entire nation will benefit out of this announcement.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sawant had posted on X (formerly Twitter): “The Govt of Goa under the Chief Minister’s Financial Assistance for Refilling of LPG Cylinder Scheme also extends Rs 275 for 3 LPG cylinders per annum to Antodaya Anna Yojana Family beneficiaries in Goa”.
He said the decision shall extend huge relief to consumers in Goa ahead of the festival season and all over India.
