Lockdown should continue beyond May 03, economic activities in state should resume: CM

Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that the state government is of the opinion that the lockdown should be extended beyond May 03.

Sawant was speaking to reporters after participating in the interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday morning. Sawant said that he did had a chance to interact with the PM.

The chief minister said that the state government will be writing to the Prime Minister urging him to extend the lockdown beyond May 03.

He said that the borders will remain sealed, while economic activities in the state would resume gradually.

Goa had reported seven cases of COVID-19 positive patients, all of whom have recovered.
